چکیده

Epidermal stem cells control the homeostasis and regeneration of skin hair through their ability to self-renew for extended periods time differentiation into multiple lineages. KROX20, a zinc finger-containing transcription factor, mediates signaling pathways modulate cell activation quiescence in various tissues. In recent study, we identified population epithelial-derived Krox20-expressing upper follicle that go terminal give rise structural component shaft. We further showed follicular Krox20-lineage mediate melanocyte maturation matrix produce pigmentation. Here, report depletion Krox20 expressing vivo resulted loss ability. To more thoroughly investigate role development, set out elucidate physiological functions KROX20 protein epithelial cells. demonstrated deletion increased epidermal thickness. On other hand, overexpression vitroresulted downregulation pro-apoptotic markers upregulation markers, suggesting potential maintenance stemness regulation survival Our results point importance development homeostasis.

Roles of Stem Cells in the Treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease

Introduction: Alzheimer disease (AD), known to be a leading cause of dementia that causes heavy social and financial burdens worldwide, characterized by progressive loss of neurons and synaptic connectivity after depositions of amyloid-β (Aβ) protein.AD manifests as an impaired ability to comprehend or use words, poor coordination and gait, and impaired executive functions in the realms of plan...

Ulcert Repair by Spray of Epithelial Stem Cells

Purpose: Separation, prolifration of stem cells and repairing of injured parts using these cells. Materials and Methods: This was a Lab-Experimental study. We used 6 male albino rabbits. At first, under general anesthesia 5x5 cm2 full thickness skin from one of the rabbits separated, washed using 70% alcohol and inserted in cold HBSS. Then it was cut into 4-6 mm pieces, washed again and incubat...

Paradoxical Role of an Egr Transcription Factor Family Member, Egr2/Krox20, in Learning and Memory

It is well established that Egr1/zif268, a member of the Egr family of transcription factors, is critical for the consolidation of several forms of memories. Recently, the Egr3 family member has also been implicated in learning and memory. Because Egr family members encode closely related zinc-finger transcription factors sharing a highly homologous DNA binding domain that recognises the same D...

Functional roles of pluripotency transcription factors in mesenchymal stem cells

Pluripotency, the capacity of a cell to give rise to differentiated derivatives that represent each of the three primary germ layers, belongs to the cells that are located within the inner cell mass (ICM) of the developing blastocyst. Functional studies have identified a group of transcription factors, the pluripotency transcription factors that affect the pluripotent capacity. Within this grou...

CNS/PNS boundary transgression by central glia in the absence of Schwann cells or Krox20/Egr2 function.

CNS/PNS interfaces constitute cell boundaries, because they delimit territories with different neuronal and glial contents. Despite their potential interest in regenerative medicine, the mechanisms restricting oligodendrocytes and astrocytes to the CNS and Schwann cells to the PNS in mammals are not known. To investigate the involvement of peripheral glia and myelin in the maintenance of the CN...
